No more ‘Regal’ feel for Delhites

The four walls covered hall, succumbed around the buildings at Connaught Place- Regal Cinema is now putting its shutters down today, i.e., 30th March. One of the most iconic single screen theatre in Delhi will not give you the experience of buying low-cost fares or booking tickets of balcony and box. You won’t be surprised to know that its been 85 years since its being. The decision to close the doors is to give the theatre a makeover and make it a multiplex just like others in town.

Before the movies were screened, there were plays done to entertain the audience. No doubt it is a heritage landmark, which was given the shape by its English architect Walter Sykes George. Therefore we can see those curves and British times interior designs. But whatever new look it may take the feel of the interiors will never get away from our heart. We are sure there are many like us whose first reaction will be whoa!!! when they hear the news.

There are memories attached to it; thankfully we got the opportunity four days back to watch last movie Phillauri there. Although the film was shocking but the adventure to watch it in Regal with friends during the month end (cash-crunch) was an awesome feeling. It is heard that they are ending the show by screening “Mera Naam Joker.” So guys, hurry up… go… and get the Regal feel because tomorrow may never come.

Thanks for the various tips provided on this blog. I have realized that many insurance agencies offer prospects generous reductions if they choose to insure a couple of cars with them. A significant amount of households include several motor vehicles these days, specially those with more aged teenage youngsters still located at home, along with the savings on policies can certainly soon increase. So it pays to look for a good deal.
